Ovarian Cancer's Nine Warning Symptoms Women Should Never Ignore
Experts estimate a staggering two-thirds of ovarian cancer patients are not diagnosed until the later stages, which makes the illness harder to treat. Doctors often label the cancer a 'silent killer' for this reason.
Warning signs usually develop when the disease has reached an advanced stage. Target Ovarian Cancer says around 44 per cent of GPs mistakenly believe symptoms only present in the later stages of the disease.
Dr Frankie Jackson-Spencer said: "Ovarian cancer often goes undiagnosed until it reaches the late stage due to its symptoms being vague and often overlapping with common/less serious conditions."

Nine out of ten women will survive the illness if the cancer is caught in the early stages. According to the NHS, back pain, feeling tired or having an urgent need to pee can be warning signs. But there are a number of other red flags that could signal the devastating disease too.
Ovarian cancer symptoms could include:
Bloating
Feeling full quickly
Loss of appetite
Abdominal pain
Frequent need to urinate
Abnormal vaginal bleeding
Unexplained tiredness
Unexplained weight loss
Change in bowel habits.
The NHS says: "These symptoms are very common and can be caused by many different conditions.
"But it's still important to get them checked by a GP. This is because if they're caused by cancer, finding it early can mean it's more treatable."
You will be asked about your health and symptoms. Tell the GP if anyone in your family has or had ovarian or breast cancer. The GP or practice nurse may ask to examine you. You can ask for a female doctor or nurse when you book your appointment.
You'll be asked to undress from the waist down, behind a screen. You'll be given a sheet to put over you.
The examination may involve:
