Saoírse Ruane's mother has paid tribute to her daughter with a heartbreaking post three weeks after her tragic death from bone cancer aged 12.
The Late Late Toy Show star, from Kiltullagh, Galway in Ireland, was diagnosed with an Osteosarcoma tumour in 2019.
Her family revealed in a statement on Instagram that she had passed away on Tuesday, March 5.
Three weeks on, Saoírse's bereaved mother Roseanna posted a lengthy tribute to her 'gorgeous girl', adding that the family is 'completely broken' by her loss.
In a post titled 'Remembering Saoírse' on Wednesday, she wrote: 'There's no written rules about how long one should stay absent from the world of social media when they experience the loss of a loved one.

'I know there's no expectation whatsoever, and I'm by no means ready to come on stories and have the chats or talk about anything else right now and I feel I won't be able too for some time.
'But there's a part of me that wants to give a little nod to Saoírse, especially on the anniversary of her passing each week, which is today!'
She continued: 'I don't know the way forward from here, as parents we're completely broken, as a mother I'm completely lost!
'But what I do know is, I will keep Saoírse's memory alive as long as I'm alive!
'So every Tuesday, I'll share a picture in remembrance of our gorgeous girl so everyone else will remember her too.'
In 2020 the young girl appeared on the Late Late Toy Show with then host Ryan Tubridy, winning hearts across the country and inspiring a huge toy appeal in her name.
Then just eight years old, Saoírse bravely spoke about her battle with cancer and showed the live audience her new prosthetic leg with a unicorn on it.
She said she'd had three dreams: to appear on the Late Late Show, to be walking again by Christmas and to go on a family holiday.

The young campaigner was cheered on by the TV audience as she showed she could walk again - and the show then showed the heartwarming moment host Ryan surprised her and her family with a trip to Disneyworld.
Her mother Roseanna later described her appearance on the show as the 'biggest reward she could ever receive for enduring such a cruel illness'.
It also led to the founding of the Toy Show Appeal, which supports children's charities across Ireland and raised 3 million euros last year.
Earlier this month Saoírse's family revealed in a statement that she passed away at home, and tributes to the 'selfless, humble and kind' young campaigner have poured in.
Announcing her death on Instagram, they wrote: 'It is with broken hearts the Ruane family announces the passing of their beautiful daughter and sister, Saoírse, who passed away peacefully at home, after a long illness bravely borne, in the arms of her heartbroken parents, Ollie and Roseanna, on Tuesday, 5th March 2024.
'Saoírse, aged just 12 years old, was surrounded, as she has been throughout her illness, by the love, care and devotion of her family, the prayers and goodwill of the community in Kiltullagh and people all over the country who held Saoírse in their hearts.
'In Saoírse's short life, she inspired and influenced so many. If you would like to make a donation in Saoírse's memory, please donate to the Galway Hospice using the following link in memory of Saoírse.'
As part of Saoírse's treatment she had her leg amputated and she underwent chemotherapy.

Her illness first began in 2019 with a tumour in her leg. In June 2022, she was told that she needed an operation to remove a tumour from her lung.
In November 2023, her mother revealed the cancer had spread to her other lung on their joint Instagram account @saoirseandmamma.
Host Ryan paid tribute to Saoírse on Instagram, writing: 'It is with the greatest sadness imaginable that I've heard the news of my dear young friend, Saoírse Ruane's passing.
'We became friends instantly when we met. She told her story, the nation fell in love with her and a charity began because of her and with that she helped enrich and encourage the lives of thousands of children in Ireland.'

WHAT IS OSTEOSARCOMA?Osteosarcoma is the most common type of bone cancer, usually diagnosed in teenagers and young adults.
It occurs when the cells that grow new bone form a cancerous tumor.
The cause of the cancer is unknown but it is thought to be related to rapid bone growth, such as adolescence.
Most tumors usually develop around the knee, either in the lower part of the thighbone or the upper part of the shinbone.
If the cancer has not spread, the long-term survival rate is between 70 and 75 percent.
If osteosarcoma has already spread, such as to the lungs or other bones at diagnosis, the long-term survival rate is about 30 percent.
Symptoms:
There are a few treatment options for osteosarcoma.
Often administered before surgery, chemotherapy uses drugs that help shrink and kill cancerous cells. The length of treatment varies and may depend on whether the cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
In most cases, surgeons can save the cancerous limb. The tumor and surrounding bone are removed and the missing bone is replaced with an artificial one.
A rotationplasty is a procedure in which the bottom of the femur, the knee, and the upper tibia are surgically removed. The lower leg is then rotated 180 degrees and attached to the femur.

College Dancer Dies On Easter, Months After Being Diagnosed With Rare Form Of Cancer
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT/Gray News) - A University of Kentucky dancer died months after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, according to her family.
Kate Kaufling, 20, died on Easter Sunday, after battling osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer that mostly affects children, teens and young adults, WKYT reported.
She was diagnosed on June 2, 2023, during her freshman year of college.
Along with being on the UK Dance Team, she was also a nursing student and a member of the Tri Delta sorority.
"Even during her cancer treatments, Kate kept up with her studies, setting an amazing example for her teammates," said UK Executive Associate Athletics Director Sandy Bell.
UK Dance Head Coach Dawn Walters released a statement saying:
Kate was a joy to coach and to be around. Her smile could light up a room and she was beloved by all of her UKDT teammates. We are all saddened by Kate's passing. We will remember her for the tough battle she fought with osteosarcoma over the past year.
Kaufling leaves behind her parents Holly and Steve Kaufling and her twin sister Abbey.
